The master's thesis titled “Effect of bio-aging on properties of conventional acrylic and 3D printed resins” has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2024–25 Athanasios E. Athanasiou Master’s Thesis Award, presented by the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).

Authored by Watt Sook May, a student at the National University of Singapore, the thesis explores how artificial aging affects the performance of materials used in orthodontic appliances. The findings are relevant to both conventional and digital workflows in clinical orthodontics.

The research was co-supervised by Dr. Eugene Loh, A/P Kelvin Foong, and A/P Vinicius Rosa.

The Athanasios E. Athanasiou Award is an annual recognition by the WFO, honoring the most outstanding master’s-level research in orthodontics internationally.
